Hermès | Interludes II

The team at Hermès commissioned me to create a series of 'scroll-stopping' animations for their social media pages by mixing Hermès visuals with my own papercraft style and creative processes.
The second animation in the series reveals the inspiration behind their iconic Arcon bag by transforming it into a saddle and forever looping back round.

Process:
I created the transformation from bag to saddle by using the replacement technique.
I used Photoshop to create a digital animation to first work out the transformation and Illustrator to design the paper models and set.
The paper backgrounds were clipped onto a foam board structure, allowing an easy change for the transformation between pond to desert.
