Play To Win
Exhibition
2019
Play To Win was an exhibition piece consisting of a hand built arcade machine with a screen playing clips of my final year moving image and animation work. It was on display at the Brighton Graphic Design & Illustration Graduate Shows at the Truman Brewery in London and Grand Parade Campus in Brighton. The machine was made from foam board, mount board and paper.

Process
The arcade machine was transported in a van with 150 other students’ work, so there was limited space. This meant that it had to be designed so it could be taken down and folded into flat pieces and put back up again.
To achieve this, I split the arcade machine into several pieces and made hinges from mount board so that they could fold out when re-building the piece at each exhibition. A plinth was used to display the tv screen inside.
